Safety & Precautions
- Do not discontinue Beta-blockers abruptly — risk of rebound hypertension or angina.
- Monitor blood pressure and heart rate at regular intervals during therapy.
- Amlodipine may cause peripheral oedema (ankle swelling) — report to physician.
- Not for use in patients with cardiogenic shock, second/third degree heart block, or decompensated heart failure.
- Inform physician of all medications — multiple drug interactions possible with antihypertensives.
