Safety & Precautions
- Albendazole: Not recommended in first trimester of pregnancy; use contraception during therapy.
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to benzimidazoles.
- For neurocysticercosis: Use only under strict neurological supervision with anti-seizure prophylaxis.
- Monitor liver enzymes in patients on prolonged therapy.
- Tablets should be chewed or swallowed whole — do not crush for children below 2 years.
