Safety & Precautions
- Magaldrate-based antacids may reduce absorption of other oral medications — maintain 2-hour gap.
- Prolonged PPI use (>8 weeks) should be under medical review; risk of hypomagnesaemia.
- Domperidone: Not recommended in patients with underlying cardiac conditions (QT prolongation risk).
- Do not use in cases of GI perforation, obstruction or haemorrhage.
- Inform physician of all concomitant medications to avoid drug interactions.
